The key thing to remember when picking the right running outfit is that no matter what you wear, you're going to warm up. If you're feeling the cold whilst you stretch, the odds are good that you'll be comfortable during your run, or if the weather's warmer - make sure you're wearing loose, breathable clothing to avoid over-heating.
Hats are also an essential way to preserve warmth. Most of your heat is lost through your head (who knew, huh), so getting new headgear for the cold season makes sense.
